On the standard US 4.0 scale: A+/A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C- = 1.7, D+ = 1.3, D = 1.0, F = 0.0.
Most US universities use the 4.0 scale, but exact grade-point values can vary. Some schools give A+ a value of 4.3 instead of 4.0, and some don't include A+ at all. Always verify with your institution's official grading policy.

Percentage ranges follow the common US convention. The 5.0 scale used in Nigeria has no plus or minus grades and uses different bands (A = 70–100%, B = 60–69%, C = 50–59%, D = 45–49%, E = 40–44%, F = below 40%).

There is no single universal GPA conversion standard. Different universities and countries assign different grade point values to the same letter grades, and the percentage ranges mapped to each letter grade can also differ. For example, some institutions assign an A for 90–100%, while others use 85–100%. Always check the official conversion table used by the receiving institution when converting for admissions purposes.
