Converting Percentage to GPA on Different Scales
4.0 Scale (USA, Canada)

5.0 Scale (Nigeria, some African universities)

10.0 Scale (India — VTU, Anna University, etc.)
Percentage = CGPA × 9.5 (Anna University formula). Reverse: CGPA = Percentage ÷ 9.5
Example: 76% ÷ 9.5 = 8.0 GPA on 10.0 scale
Important Limitations
Percentage-to-GPA conversion is not a universal standard. Different institutions and countries define grade boundaries differently. A 75% at one university might be an A; at another it might be a C. For official applications, use your institution's official conversion or request an evaluation from a recognised credential evaluation service such as WES (World Education Services) or ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators).
